Stephen Cegelka

Stephen "Chip" Anthony Cegelka, age 58, beloved husband of the late Karen D. Cegelka, entered into eternal rest peacefully on November 22, 2011. He was born in Derby on October 13, 1953, son of the late Henry and Theresa Cegelka. Chip was a former long time resident of Seymour and was an employee of the New Haven Copper Company for many years. He was a United States Army veteran. At the time of his passing, Chip was a resident of Clarksville, IN. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Chip's loving family includes his daughter Meagen Fuller (James) of Milford, NH, his stepdaughter Maureen Duncan (William) of New Albany, IN., his sister Carol Ann Pavone (Peter) of Shelton and his five cherished grandchildren. He was predeceased by his stepson George "Greg" Malyska. A Memorial Service in Celebration of Chip's life will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (Rt. 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour with Deacon Kenneth Ewaskie of the Church of the Good Shepherd, officiating. Interment, with full military honors accorded, will follow at Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. Friends and relatives call at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of the Memorial Service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Chip's memory may be made to the Emil Senger Post 10 American Legion, 37 Bank Street, 2nd Floor, Seymour, CT 06483.
