Dorothy C. Prilipp

May 29, 1925 - March 10, 2022

Dorothy Cashin Prilipp, age 96, of Sebastian, Fl, formerly of Seymour, entered into rest on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, Fl. She passed away peacefully with her loving daughter Karen Quoka and caring son-in-law John by her side whom she resided with for over twelve years. She was born in Waterbury on May 29, 1925, the beloved daughter of the late William and Helen Minogue Cashin. She married the love of her life Albert H. Prilipp on January 30, 1954. Sadly Al passed away on June 16, 2012. Dot was a consummate housewife raising three children and a great cook. She loved her family and friends very much and she always enjoyed having large picnics on Shelton St. in Seymour, making all the food herself. She enjoyed doing arts and crafts and putting together puzzles. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles...it keeps the mind going she always said. We will miss her dearly, especially her giggle, but she will remain forever in our hearts. Dot was predeceased by her beloved children daughter Dorrine Lee Prilipp, son Wayne Richard Prilipp, a cherished granddaughter Pamela Quoka Pettinella, two brothers Martin and William (Bud) Cashin and two sisters Helen Gaylord and Genevieve Belury. We would like to thank the staff at the VNA Hospice House for the excellent and loving care they gave her and especially the visiting nurses that came to the house for the last year. A Memorial Service in Celebration of Dot's life will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 6:00 pm in the chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street (RT. 67, across from Klarides Village), Seymour with the Rev. Paul Sinnott, Pastor of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Oxford, officiating. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family at Pinesbridge Cemetery, Beacon Falls.
